dear team,
rainy weather outside..if you are wondering if our planned ride pushed through with team SIR racing hongkong glen pendry this morning...it did.
last night glen called me.."im really really excited to ride with your team ray...its a rain or shine thing i got my raincoat with me you know"
this morning teamcaptain tiboy reyes texted me "if glen wants to ride..we ride too "
at jolibbee sta lucia glen pendry team SIR south island racing team hongkong (just flew in for work and play in manila) with tiboy reyes team captain of new team Franzia
so 6am i pick up glen from shangrila makati..we go to jolibbee sta lucia..we rode all the way up valley golf antipolo went down cogeo rode bosoboso ..foremost farms ....bureau of soils...sierra madre...(wait for bisekletaguy first)...down sampaloc...then went straight 20kms to kamagong new roads. before climb back kamagong go to sierra madre...go down in sierra madre in zero visibility fog..and finally reach jolibee sta lucia 3pm.
the 1st and 2nd to arrive at Sierra Madre on a rainy weather stormy weather ride. glen and tiboy
the podium finishers..glen pendry, team Franzia manager raymond see with tiboy reyes and dennis datu in black and liston yao (i forgot my raincoat.... i had to rely on old newspapers under my chest minimize hypothermia today...wooh its cold down the mountain at 50kph with a storm brewing in manila)
"fantastic ride..i truly enjoyed it ray...next time i try bring my team SIR to ride with you guys.,.we do have some riders whom i can invite ride with your team Franzia in manila too" says glen.
"you will come pick me up again sunday will you..i want to ride again..then have to leave manila 3pm flight back to hongkong" glen adds.
tomorrow another day......i really want to thank tiboy reyes liston yao dennis datu for coming to ride with us even in rainy weather..dennis thanks for waiting for me...i bonk on the return up bosoboso.
it was a loooong painful ride..glen pendry its as if he didnt suffer he was still smiling at jolibbee..im visibly tired.
