dear friends,
this FUN RIDE pushed through...there were about 80 cyclists in SM MARILAO early morning of April 25 2009 a saturday...there would have been many more if not for the heavy rain experienced today, SM big bosses arrived wearing GREEN shirts and started to mingle with the cyclists. Riders were required to register for the FINISHERS CERTIFICATE. teamrocka's raymond see and Tj magpantay , sunny pantua, engr rolly cruz, ramon antonio and engr pablo was there too...the BIG BANNER PADYAK PARA SA KALIKASAN included a yellow box with the word TEAM ROCKA BIKESHOP sharing equal billing with SM...as SM had called raymond see and signed him up as COORDINATOR for this fun ride....in turn the leaflets were distributed and most of teamrocka customers and supporters appeared in SM MARILAO ready to ride the 40 kilometers route which will end in SM BALIUAG....distance of about 40 kms one way.
raymond see with rocka1bikeshop customer and blog reader ARCHITECT andrew cristobal of SM BALIUAG building administration who was the one who had this idea of holding a fun ride for EaRTH DAY 2009 from SM MARILAO to SM BALIUAG passing through 8 towns of bulacan .THANKS ARCHITECT andrew for making this fun ride a reality.

minutes before the cyclists were released there was a foto shoot at SM MARILAO
FUN RIDE STARTS 815am and after passing through the towns of MArilao, Bocaue, BAlagtas, Guiguinto, STA RITA, Plaridel, PULILAN, Baliuag fun ride finishes at SM BALIUAG where a majorettes and Brass band welcomes the cyclists.

first batch of cyclists to arrive in SM BALIUAG from SM MARILAO 40 kilometers away
sandwiches and SM BONUS mineral water were distributed and a raffle number were given cyclists.

beautiful majorettes and a small brass band were there to welcome cyclists in SM BALIUAG
after the welcome remarks...the DENR coordinator spoke thanking SM for organizing a cycling fun ride and opening SM parking for cyclists (motorcyclists and cyclists can park their bikes at SM BALIUAG AND MARILAO)

before the ending ceremonies a GYM instructor from GYM ni ANGEL (Angels gym) lead the cyclists to some more stretching exercise before the cyclists heads back home to MARILAO.
now this is new
....SM BALIUAG seeked out GYM NI ANGEL instructors to provide the weary cyclists some scientific stretching exercises before this group cycles back to marilao for their 80kms ride today....WOW THANKS SO MUCH GYM NI ANGEL! 
overall...its a good start to raise awareness for the cyclists here in our town in BULACAN.
the event organizers promised a more organized FUN RIDE will be held once again in JUNE, 2009
