dear friends,

this ride was organized by winston chua and atty tiboy reyes. i was invited to ride this route for the first time..normally teamrocka rides Burger King to sierra madre climb only. then we ride back home on our sag wagon. Sierra madre is a very challenging climb..to go down tanay and climb up bugarin ..thats double trouble.

i had a great time and would like to thank my super strong sparring partners for this ride winston chua, atty tiboy reyes who was the champion of the 138kilometer tour of matabungkay 2006...carlos tan who is now one of our guarded secrets..who climba ala pantani and eric tan veteran of Le Alp du Huez and the Tourmalet after he successfully joined the Graham Baxter cycling tours of the Tour de France race route to watch armstrong and vinikourov in the flesh and climb their race routes. thanks so much i really enjoyed this painful ride.

here is my favorite easy ride destination..historic church in Barasoain Malolos Bulacan.found at the back of the old 10 peso philippine banknote is this historic church..venue for the oath taking of the Philippine's first President General Emilio Aguinaldo.

my first long ride for the year jan 6 2008..Caliraya man made lake ride 1200 feet above sea level.











dear friends

the holidays are over. its the middle of jan 2008 and i cant believe its only now that i find time to write my blogs.

perceptive members will note that after the Tour of MAtabungkay in November..i didnt race the XRC race in Subic last december ...although some members of our team rocka decided to race .

the reason for this was the big stainless steel contract we received in December which made me work til the 23rd of December 2007 ..respite for 24th and 25 then back to work again from Dec
26 to 30th dec.

















the major contract was for the fabrication of the stair railings and supply of stainless accents at the new nestle philippines warehouse in meycauayan.

i made up for lost time with my family on the 31st and 1st of january 2008 and me and my daughter rachel anne...we just went shopping...she wants her condo furnished..and this project of finding good furniture for her was enjoyable..as she is an undergraduate of architecture...while dad was a frustrated architect /interior designer.

the new condo of my daughter in manila will be my halfway house..previously i was always late when it comes to cycle training... as i couldnt reach the target meeting place on time as i have to drive long way..about a hundred kilometers just to reach the Mall of Asia..and by the time i reached the place i was already poofed...and when it comes to training rides... a lot of my training rides had been moved shelved or cancelled...as i couldnt arrive on time.

the rumors that our team rocka wont be racing in 2008 is untrue.. we will still be racing..but
hopefully...there will be new venues to race..because after 3 years of racing ..me and my team have grown a little tired of the same racing venues..same old mountains to conquer..same old criteriums to race on...so hopefully the organizers of this years races will be a little imaginative.

rocka1bikeshop had been closed for the last 15 days of december 2007....and rumors circulated that we already close shop...to those who visited us last dec 30 and purchased 100thousand pesos worth of bicycle and bicycle parts on the last day of the year 2007... we thank you so much for making our day..

we look forward to seeing you soon...we look forward to race with you on the road again this 2008
